The Bothy itself has been sensitively and thoughtfully restored: large south-facing windows and bifold doors to the secure garden capitalise on the light and sweeping countryside views; ancient, rough-hewn stone walls are painted in fresh white; underfloor heating on the ground floor is complemented by a cosy wood-burning fire in the double-height sitting room; and a ground floor level en-suite bedroom is ideal for families (with adjoining bunk room) or for those guests with limited mobility.

Station Master’s House was once a working railway station but is now a delightful semi-detached retreat nestled in the picturesque Liddesdale Valley near Newcastleton. 🚂The property still retains the original platform and there is a lovely old diesel engine to add to the authentic feel of a station.
Offering lovely views and convenient off-road parking, this welcoming home is the ideal escape for families or friends seeking a peaceful break surrounded by nature’s splendour.🦔🌳

Our golf course is certainly worth a visit while you are here. The club celebrated its centenary in 1994 and is one of the oldest clubs in Scotland. The Royal & Ancient game of golf is not only played but also enjoyed over ‘The Holm Hill’ for, in between strokes, the panoramic view is to be admired and envied.⛳
The club is a tough nine hole course that can be played as 18 holes. Overall par of 69, with 34 out, 35 in, total yardage of 5491.🏌🏼‍♂️
Because of our isolation, you will find no queues for tee times. Indeed during the week, as the clubhouse is closed, we operate an honesty policy; pay your green fees at Mollies or the Grapes Hotel.

Please come and enjoy our course. It’s a challenge, but once you get to the 4th hole it is the best view in the whole of Liddesdale. Enjoy your round.
