Today, our CEO and Founder, Jessica Gallier-Booth, was honoured with the title of Cheshire Woman of the Year 2026 🏆🖤
And if ever there was somebody who deserved this recognition, it is Jess.
Behind this award is a story of love, loss, resilience and determination.
Following the loss of her dad, Martin, to su***de, Jess made a choice that would go on to save thousands of lives.
🖤 She turned pain into purpose.
🖤 She made su***de prevention her business.
🖤 She chose to create a Su***de Safer Community.
With a fire in her belly and an unwavering belief that things could be different, Jess set out on a mission to prevent su***de, break down stigma and support families.
She had no roadmap or blueprint. But a belief that people impacted by su***de deserved better.
🖤 They deserved support.
🖤 They deserved safety.
🖤 They deserved a third option.

From an idea fuelled by grief, The Martin Gallier Project has grown into an internationally recognised su***de prevention model, independently evaluated by LJMU and proven to work. More than 60,000 life saving su***de interventions later, lives have been saved and families have been supported.
Along the way, Jess has created opportunities for others who share the same passion and commitment to the mission.
Today, a woman who took the worst moment of her life and transformed it into something that saves lives has been recognised for the impact she has made.
As a team, we are grateful.
Grateful that she kept fighting when the road ahead seemed impossible and grateful that she never lost sight of the mission.
As a team, we are proud.
Proud of the leader she is, the organisation she has built, and the lives saved every single day.
