Last weekend, our young carers from South Ayrshire enjoyed a fun-filled day out to Culzean Castle & Country Park NTS during their residential respite break at Honeypot.

From playing on the beach and searching for shells to spotting baby seals, the day was packed with adventure, laughter and unforgettable experiences.

Another fantastic Honeypot weekend with lots of happy memories made! 🐝💛

As we celebrate Volunteers' Week, we would like to shine a light on the newest member of our volunteer team at Honeypot Dalleagles, Skye! 💛

Skye joined us this week for her very first volunteering shift, and she was absolutely fantastic. As a young carer herself, Skye understands first-hand the challenges and pressures that many children we support face every day. Her empathy, enthusiasm, and kindness made a real difference, and we're so grateful to welcome her to the Honeypot family.

Here's what Skye had to say about her first experience volunteering with us:

"My first volunteering shift was brilliant. The kids were just amazing, and I really enjoyed bracelet making with them. The staff were all so welcoming, and I can't wait to volunteer again."

This Volunteers' Week, we want to shine a light on our incredible supporters and volunteers at Mitie.

The team regularly gives their time to help at Honeypot House Dalleagles, working hard to keep our grounds looking fantastic!

"It was a real pleasure for a group of Mitie and DIO Regional Delivery Scotland & Northern Ireland employees to volunteer at Honeypot House Dalleagles, supporting a charity that makes a real difference to young carers. The experience was both rewarding and enjoyable, with activities including gardening, cleaning out the hen coop, laying playground bark, and building new furniture. I would highly recommend getting involved if you have the opportunity, it's a fulfilling experience and a great way to support a incredible worthwhile cause."

A huge thank you to the Knit and Stitch group at Dunelm Kilmarnock for their incredibly kind donation of beautifully knitted bees and these adorable little worry worms.

Last weekend, 12 incredible young carers from South Ayrshire enjoyed a well-deserved residential break at Dalleagles, packed with fun activities, laughter, and time to relax! 💛

One of the highlights of the weekend was a visit to Culzean Castle & Country Park NTS, where they searched for painted stones before getting creative and making their own masterpieces.

These special weekends simply wouldn't be possible without the kindness and generosity of our amazing supporters. Thank you for helping us create memories and friendships that last a lifetime. 🐝💛
