Women’s Self-Defence Fundraiser at the NYCC
Saturday 4 July | 10:00am – 12:00pm

A women and girls' self-defence class is taking place at Nantwich Youth & Community Centre on Saturday 4 July in support of the RSPCA Crewe, Nantwich & District Branch.

The session is open to women and girls aged 16+ and will be led by Strike Back Self Defence for Women.

The local RSPCA branch is run entirely by volunteers. Funds raised from this event will help support the rehabilitation and rehoming of cats and rabbits in their care.

A new Dance Aerobics class is coming to Nantwich Youth and Community Centre.

Following a great response to classes in Alsager and Church Lawton, this fun and friendly session is now launching in Nantwich.

The class is open to everyone, including all bodies, abilities and fitness levels. No dance or fitness experience is needed.

Expect great music, movement and a relaxed “you do you” atmosphere.

When: Thursdays at 7:00 pm - 7:45 pm
Where: Nantwich Youth and Community Centre
Cost: £6 PAYG, cash only

NYCC Junior Youth Club | World Environment & Oceans Day Highlights

Last Friday, at the Junior Youth Club, young people marked World Environment Day and World Oceans Day by creating anti-litter posters and taking part in ocean-themed crafts.

The activities encouraged discussions about protecting our environment, reducing litter, and looking after our oceans.

There was also plenty of time for fun, with games of tag, table tennis, table football, and some friendly competition on the PlayStation 5.

Love music? Always wanted to try an instrument? Or just want to hang out with other music fans? 🎶

School of Rock is open to everyone, whether you already play, sing, or just love listening.

Come along, plug in, or simply join the vibe. Meet new people, get inspired, and have a go at making music in a friendly, no-pressure space. Instruments are welcome but not required, curiosity and good energy are all you need.

There’s something for everyone at Junior Youth Club. Pool, snooker, table tennis, table football, board games, book swap, PlayStation 5 gaming, WiFi, outdoor courts, sports hall, a well-being room, a learning kitchen, and even our own pop-up cinema.

This session includes creating flag bunting, doing a mini penalty shootout competition, and a football quiz.

👉 Plus, enjoy all the usual games, team sports, and activities at the club.

Feel Good Gold is a relaxed, welcoming class focused on gentle movement, friendly conversation, and the joy of being part of a supportive group. There’s no pressure and no expectations. Just come along, move at your own pace, and enjoy good company. The Nantwich Youth & Community Centre has heating in the building, perfect for this time of year.

After each session, everyone is welcome to stay for tea, coffee, cake, and a chat. ☕🍰

Yesterday at the Junior Youth Club, young people took part in Child Safety Week activities, using colouring sheets and learning how to spot potential hazards around the home and stay safe in everyday situations.

During the session, they enjoyed games of tag, table tennis, table football, and some friendly competition on the PlayStation 5.
