Useful information for anyone travelling into Nantwich for some of the upcoming events.

Free bus travel will be available on local services within the Nantwich boundary on selected event days, including Nantwich Food Festival this Friday and Saturday.

Free bus travel will be available on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th September on local bus services from within the Nantwich boundary to the town centre.

🎮 Do you have any PlayStation games gathering dust at home?

We’re looking for donations of unwanted PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games for young people attending our Junior and Senior Youth Club sessions at Nantwich Youth & Community Centre.

We’re especially looking for games rated PEGI 3, 7, or 12 that are suitable for our youth club sessions.

Games such as:

* EA Sports FC
* Overcooked! All You Can Eat
* Minecraft
* LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

These are just a few examples, so if you have any other suitable PS4 or PS5 games that you're no longer playing, we’d love to give them a new home.

Donations can be dropped off at the NYCC on:

NYCC | School Of Rock
Wednesday September 2nd: 7:15 PM - 9:00 PM

Love music? Always wanted to try an instrument? Or just want to hang out with other music fans? 🎶

School of Rock is open to everyone, whether you already play, sing, or just love listening.

Come along, plug in, or simply join the vibe. Meet new people, get inspired, and have a go at making music in a friendly, no-pressure space. Instruments are welcome but not required, curiosity and good energy are all you need.

There’s something for everyone at Senior Youth Club.

Pool, snooker, table tennis, table football, board games, book swap, PlayStation 5 gaming, WiFi, outdoor courts, sports hall, a well-being room, a learning kitchen and our pop-up cinema.

This session will be relaxed. Socialise with your friends, get involved with the activities, or listen to the School of Rock session taking place in the Sports Hall.

👉 Plus, enjoy all the usual games, team sports and activities at the club.

Senior Youth Holiday Club and School of Rock Highlights

Yesterday evening over twenty young people, volunteers and staff came together for the Senior Youth Holiday Club and School of Rock sessions at the NYCC.

During the evening, some of the Senior Youth Club members gathered around the recreation room table for arts, crafts and slime activities, while others played games on the PlayStation. It was a relaxed session overall, and we were also pleased to welcome some new members.

Alongside the Senior Youth Club, the School of Rock members played The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army" and practised playing their original songs.

A big shout out and thank you to Laura, Sharon, and Anna Burton, and, of course, to our youth worker Kathryn, for giving their time and helping to make the evening possible.

It was another enjoyable evening with a mix of relaxed, creative and social activities for the Senior Youth Club and School of Rock.

📚 Nantwich’s Big Read is coming next week for the National Year of Reading!

Come along to St Mary’s Church on Thursday 27th August from 10am to 2pm and join us for a celebration of all things reading.

There’ll be plenty to enjoy, including Betty the Book Bus from Nantwich Bookshop and Coffee Lounge., storytime with Nantwich Library at 12pm, and bookmark colouring in our Reading Tent.

Plus, Nantwich Library will be keeping the fun going from 1pm to 4pm with a Hungry Caterpillar craft event! 🐛
