Hi all,

The next District Youth Forum will be taking place on Sunday the 12th of July, an email with full details will be sent in the coming days.

Over the next few weeks I hope to attend your Scout and Explorer units, just to have a chat about the future Youth Forum structure.

I’m really excited for everyone to attend, and I’m hoping we can increase the number of groups represented as much as possible.

Any questions please email - [email protected]

Thank you!

Previous attendees of SWC Youth Forums were recently invited to provide feedback and ideas for how Youth Forums should be structured in the future.

Over the course of the session we received some very valuable ideas, and every attendee was extremely enthusiastic and engaged.

The Youth-Shaped future of SWC is looking extremely bright, and it’s very exciting to turn these ideas into action as a district.

Thank you so much to everyone who attended. Please keep an eye out for the upcoming date, which will be a Youth Forum fully developed from the young people’s ideas they provided.

We’re proud to share the 2026 Roll of Honour, a moment to recognise and thank the volunteers whose dedication continues to make such a difference across Scouts.

“A moment to pause and say thank you. In Scouts we’re always moving forward, planning our next adventure. But it’s vital too, that we take a moment to pause and reflect on the astonishing difference we make as volunteers. Together we genuinely change lives for the better. Thank you to each and every volunteer who has supported us this year, and especially to those we’re honouring this year. We’re lucky to have you at our side.”

I’m pleased to introduce a fantastic member to the youth team, Fabio Cura. 🎉🎉

Fabio brings key energy to the team and is extremely passionate about scouting, having recently earned his Kings Scout Award. Im really looking forward to working with someone so diligent.

We’re still looking for more people to join the team, so if you’re interested in promoting a Youth Led South West Cheshire, we’d love to hear from you.

Bookings and volunteer registrations open at 10am on Saturday 25th April for Cheshire Hike 2026. 👣

On 26-27 September, more than 850 Scouts and Guides will take on Cheshire Hike 2026, one of the county’s biggest Scout events. 🥾

From 30km to 60km routes across the Cheshire countryside to an overnight stay at basecamp, it’s a weekend packed with challenge, teamwork and unforgettable memories. ⛺️

This year, the booking process has changed slightly. Groups will need to visit the Cheshire Hike website, select Book Now, and register their Group before pre-registering the number of places they need.

🚨 Pre-registration does not secure places.

To confirm them, payment of £30 per young person must be made.

We expect places to fill fast, so please be ready when bookings open. Once the event reaches capacity, bookings will close and a waiting list will be available on the website.

If a paid place is no longer needed, it can be transferred to another young person.

Mark your calendar now. The adventure starts here.

In Summer 2027, Scouts aged 16–25 from across Cheshire will have the chance to take on the Explorer Belt, one of Scouting’s most prestigious awards.

This is no ordinary trip. You’ll travel through Europe in a small team, plan your own route, manage your own budget, complete cultural projects, and push yourself further than ever before. It’s a real test of independence, teamwork and resilience, and an experience you’ll never forget.

If you’re ready to explore a new culture, take on a serious adventure, and achieve something incredible, apply now.

Register your interest by 30 April 2026 at cheshirescouts.org.uk/explorerbelt
