Our club meets on the 2nd Wednesday each month Sept to May, to share a love of flower arranging.

Today Musselburgh Club had a pleasure of completing an arrangement as part of the SAFAS anniversary flower festival ‘Nostalgia’. Our arrangement represented Scottish Inventors:
•John Logie Baird
•Alexander Fleming
•Alexander Graham Bell

The displays created today are fabulous, and more underway tomorrow.

Happiness is…. By Ada Paul, this weeks demonstrator at our February club night.
We will also be discussing NAFAS plans for the future, to keep clubs like ours open.

As part of our Diamond anniversary celebrations we wanted to encourage more people to learn flower arranging skills.
During November and December we held five workshops. Kath and Janet shared their knowledge and experience with ladies keen to gain new skills.
Our ladies learned how to create a vertical line design, a horizontal line design along with an all round table design. The final two classes focused on Christmas, learning how to create a wreath.

The classes were a fine example of what floral art is all about. Enjoying flowers and the company of others. Learning a new skill is really just a secondary benefit.
Thanks to everyone who came along to make the days a success.@

Also, a quick reminder for those who bought raffle tickets last month for the Christmas hamper- remember your tickets. The draw is tonight.
And if you don’t have your tickets yet, no worries they will be on sale before the demonstration starts.
As always, visitors are welcome. £6 at the door. 7pm for 7:30 start.

Thanks to Pamela Galloway for a great start to our new season. Autumn vibes were certainly in the air on Wednesday evening. I came away with the DIY bunch of leftovers. Here’s my design using a Le Creuset terrine dish to carry on the ‘orange’ colour - you had to be there to really understand the meaning!
