A fantastic email landed in our inbox over the weekend πŸ‘‡

A huge congratulations to Sarah and Gareth who completed this year's Edinburgh Marathon. We are incredibly grateful to be one of the charities being supported - and they've raised an incredible amount.

As a charity, our services can only continue thanks to the generosity of people like Sarah and Gareth, those who take part in fundraising events, make donations, leave gifts in their Will and support our work in countless other ways.

Thank you again πŸ’œ

πŸ’œ Move Monday

Did you know that even a short burst of activity can help improve energy and mobility.

Movement looks different for everyone β€” and that's exactly why we invest in versatile equipment that can support a wide range of abilities and goals.

Our functional training equipment, combined with physiotherapy-led support, helps us tailor exercises to each individual.

Personal Training is one of our busiest free services so give us a call on 01670 505829 to get booked in.

We know many of our appointments are in high demand, and occasionally appointments become available at short notice due to cancellations. To help us fill these appointments quickly β€” and give more people the opportunity to access our services β€” we’ve created a simple form on our website where service users can register their interest in being contacted about short notice availability.

If you are flexible and able to attend appointments at short notice, we’d love to hear from you. To be added to our short notice list - visit our website here https://www.msrrf.org.uk/shortnoticelist

Please note that you must be registered as a service user with us to access appointments. To find out more about registering give us a call on 01670 505829.

Ever wondered what goes on at The Pashler Physiotherapy Centre in North Seaton?

It houses our wonderful state of the art anti-gravity treadmill and for the first time we are offering taster sessions to registered service users* whilst we wait for parts to arrive that will further enhance it's performance.

Why not come along and experience it for yourself?

The AlterG uses NASA-inspired technology to reduce the impact on your joints and muscles, allowing you to walk or exercise at a percentage of your body weight. This can help you feel more confident, move more freely and experience walking/running in a completely different way.

Alongside a trial on the equipment our Physiotherapist led team will take you through the range of appointments available and give you a taste of the amazing work we do.

All of our services are completely free.

To find out more and to get booked in - give us a call on 01670 505829.

Over the coming months we are going to be updating all of our video and photo content....which means you'll be able to get a fresh look at all the services and equipment our centres have to offer.

One of the largest pieces of equipment that is used to support functional training and personalised rehabilitation for people affected by MS is our Primal range.

Because rehabilitation is not a one-size-fits-all, when funds have allowed we've invested in high-quality equipment to be used alongside our physiotherapy-led personalised training plans.

Earlier in the year some of our team attended the MS Trust Conference where we had the opportunity to showcase our AlterG research project. The project explored the impact of using the Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis.

We’re now proud to have our research poster displayed at The Pashler Physiotherapy Centre, highlighting the positive outcomes seen throughout the project, including improvements in confidence, mobility and overall wellbeing for participants. Thank you to all of the team (and service users) that contributed.

As a physiotherapy-led charity; research and innovation continue to play a vital role in shaping the future of our services.

πŸ’œ MONDAY MOTIVATION πŸ’œ

Living with MS can bring challenges that many people never see, but every day we are inspired by the strength, determination and positivity of our MS community.

Today we'd love to celebrate YOU.

✨ Tell us one thing you're proud of this week, big or small.
Maybe you've:

🚢 Taken a walk when you didn't feel like it
πŸ‹οΈ Attended a class
πŸ’§ Remembered to stay hydrated
β˜• Simply got out of bed and kept going

One of our service users recently shared:

"Last week I really didn't feel like leaving the house. Every part of me wanted to stay at home, but I pushed myself to come along to an exercise class. I'm so glad I did. Not only did I enjoy the session, but I left feeling physically stronger, mentally brighter and so pleased that I'd made the effort. Sometimes the hardest step is getting through the door."

πŸ’œ Every achievement counts.

Let's fill the comments with positivity and encourage one another. What are you proud of this week?
