Barnabas Safe & Sound is a local charity based in Morpeth dedicated to supporting young people to become active and independent members of the community. Our services include:

Safe and Sound Youth - Youth work based in Morpeth, we have youth workers out on detached 3-4 time per week. A gaming club, girls group and we are now running the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Safe and Sound Advice - We have drop in sessions in Morpeth on Monday 2-4pm, and at Ashington YMCA Wednesday 12-2pm for those aged 16-25 who may need help and support around a range of issues including benefits, welfare, education, employment, sexual health, housing and ANYTHING ELSE young people need to talk about. Safe and Sound Homes - We provide supported accommodation for those in housing crisis and support those in their own tenancy who may need that little extra support. A great supporter of Barnabas, Woodcraft by Ricky Usher will be joining us at our Christmas Night Market for the 3rd year running. Pop by their stall on 18th November to check out their range of unique, hand turned woodcrafts including chopping boards, bowls, clocks and crafty bits and bobs 🪵

Mel from Urban Silver Jewellery will be showcasing her range of distinctive handmade jewellery - earrings, pendants, bangles and rings, at our Christmas Night Market on 18th November. Mel creates beautiful pieces from her small Gosforth workshop, using recycled copper and silver, including silver recovered from old X-rays! Her minimalist pieces are shaped by simplicity, contrast, individuality, and her experience as a psychotherapist. Responsibly sourced metals and recycled packaging reflect her commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability. A stall not to be missed! 💍

The lovely Crafty Sisters will be joining our Christmas Night Market for the 3rd year running. Shirley and Mandy are sisters from Morpeth, who share a passion for all things crafty - they enjoy making handmade goodies including decorations, notebooks, and Christmas wreaths and put lots of love into every creation 🥰 Be sure to pop by their stall on 18th November for a friendly welcome, and maybe a few Christmas treats! 🎁

A throwback to a previous project from our creative club! These Canvases are displayed on the walls of our Youth Centre and add to the atheistic perfectly! Cosy Willow will once again be joining us for our Christmas Night Market on 18th November. They're a small independent business creating rustic, handcrafted candles, wax melts, home fragrances and perfumes, all made with a little love and a lot of attention to detail. They will be bringing along their signature fragrances and festive Christmas collection, filled with comforting scents and lovely gift ideas.
