St Helen's Overton Parish Church

St Helen's Overton Parish Church St Helen's Church St Helen's Church at Overton in Lancashire is the centre point of life in our village.

We are working to look after this building for all people in Overton parish and of course for our many visitors too. We are not fundraising for the church activities but solely for the upkeep of the building so that everyone may continue to enjoy visiting this beautiful building long into the future. www.justgiving.com/sthelenschurchoverton

The church is located in the peaceful village of Overton

which lies around 5 miles south-west of Lancaster at the mouth of the Lune estuary. It has long been the focal point of village life and gave its name to St Helen's C of E Primary School which was established on its current site in 1964. The oldest parts of St Helen's church date back to the 12th century. It was partially rebuilt in 1771, extended in 1830 and underwent a substantial restoration in 1902. A major project to undertake repairs to the roof commenced in 2013.
