Meet Rachel, Toucan's Manager!
"I have been the Manager at Toucan for the past three years and have loved every minute of it.
Having spent my entire career working with children, I have seen first-hand the impact that mental health challenges can have, not only on a child's wellbeing, but also on family relationships, friendships, education and, most importantly, their self-worth.
At Toucan, we provide a safe and supportive space where children can explore their difficulties, develop resilience, and simply be themselves. Our dedicated team is committed to improving the life chances of every child we work with, helping them to build confidence and reach their full potential. It is a privilege to be part of a team that is so passionate about making a meaningful difference.
Over the past three years, Toucan has continued to grow, and we were incredibly proud to receive the Gloucestershire BBC Community Make a Difference Award. This recognition was a testament to the vision, dedication and hard work of our founders, Jan and Angie, who have created something truly special.
As we continue to develop, we are now expanding our services to provide support not only for children and young people, but also for their families and the professionals who work alongside them. It is an exciting time for Toucan, and I am proud to be part of its journey as we continue to strengthen the support available to our community."
