Happy Armed Forces Day 2026, and good morning all, it's the day before our event. We are still looking for stall holders to join us at the event.

If you wish to attend with either an activity related stall tomorrow, or you have an armed forces related theme, or even better have a military vehicle drop us a line and see you all tomorrow 🙏

This special community event is a chance to come together in support of our Armed Forces community, veterans and their families, while enjoying a great day out for all ages.

Expect military displays, family activities and much more, as we recognise the service and sacrifice of those who have served our country.

Join Cinderford Royal British Legion Cinderford Branch for a fantastic day of celebration, community, and support to honour our Armed Forces and their families.

Cinderford branch Armed Forces family day is on the 28 June.

We are not charging for stalls as the event is community related and celebrating our armed forces.

June 14 is Liberation Day and commemorates the end of the occupation of the Falkland Islands by Argentina in 1982.

Islanders gather at Christ Church Cathedral to mark the occasion with a thanksgiving service, a military parade followed by wreath laying at the Liberation Monument. The day is seen as a public holiday in the Falkland Islands.

We will remember those who did not come home and those who served in 1982.

Update on damage caused to the Forest of Dean Korean War Memorial at Cyril Hart Aboretum

Regards the damage caused to the Imjin memorial last week, The Forest of Dean District Council have set up a fund to raise funds for the repairs that will be needed to reinstate the memorial.
