Royal British Legion Cinderford Branch

We are looking forward to a fantastic remembrance parade in this year. Thank you to Cinderford Town Council who have obtained a closure between 1030-1200hrs, which means at 1100hrs, the silence can be observed with no traffic 🙏 Please, if you have crosses that you wish to place before the parade, please do at the memorial. If you have a wreath or memorial that you wish to place on the day, you will be informed by the Parade marshal when to do so.

Thank you to everyone who attends for this day of remembrance.

We had the great pleasure yesterday of hosting the Forest Of Dean Sea Cadets at Tesco Superstore They took on the mantle of collecting in the store and it was great to have them there collecting in behalf of the branch

Because of the assistance that they give us every year and after raising just over £1100, the unit received from the Royal British Legion Cinderford Branch a certificate of appreciation. Thank you and well done.

Yesterday afternoon, our branch president Mark and son Finn were on pitch at Tesco Superstore We appreciate your time.

We also had a great donation from the FOD Veterans who met up and had a collection for the Poppy Appeal Gloucestershire

Thank you to all 🫡

A huge thank you to Andy & Amanda for their excellent work as custodians of the poppies yesterday, and to Rich & Sam for resourcing the stall today.

Once again, Cinderford has shown just how generous and supportive our community is. We are truly grateful to each and every one of you. 🙏

Pop in and see our branch members inside Tesco Superstore until 07 November.

They’re on hand at the Poppy Appeal stand, ready for a friendly natter while you grab your poppy.

Thanks to Al, Dave, Nicki & Dave for giving up their time yesterday, and to everyone stopping by to say hello and pop a few coins in the tin, or a 'beep' on the card machine 👏

It was great to see Les back with Brian yesterday at Tesco Superstore and I'm sure his engagement with everyone was fantastic. Thank you both and well done 👏

Sunday was a day of rest for the team, so instead here are a few photos of the clock tower and all the poppies placed up by Cinderford Town Council

If you decide to donate and get a cross from our team or the donation boxes, why not place it at the war memorial ready for the Remembrance parade, or place it on the day.

Saturday morning stag...Doug and Ryan on Poppy patrol and once again a great response to the team appeal table. We have to thank all our volunteers for the time that they give to the Poppy Appeal Gloucestershire 🙏

Yesterday afternoon, Mark & Dave kept the flow going worth the appeal. A very busy afternoon and so many people thanking the branch for what we do.

Some meaningful conversations were also had with not only those who had served, but also with young people who wanted to know more. Once again, thank you to everyone who has supported the Royal British Legion at Tesco Superstore for the Poppy Appeal Gloucestershire

Oh, a quick reminder that the clocks go back tomorrow ⏰⌚🕰️

Good morning from the branch. Yesterday we caught up with Murray & Geoff during their stint at Tesco Superstore

There's been amazing support from everyone so far and it's only the third day.

Thank you all and if you get 5 minutes and you are in Cinderford, pop in and say hello and find out about Royal British Legion Cinderford Branch and the Royal British Legion
