Oakraven Beekeeping Youth Group.
Learn how to look after a beehive, watch how the bees make honey and lots of other interesting skills.
Can lead to an optional junior qualification in Beekeeping from BBKA (British Beekeeping Association) or towards a Duke of Edinburgh Award.
The course is designed for 10–16-year-olds, however they must be accompanied by an Adult/Guardian.
All materials are included except Beekeeping suit and wellies, which is required for outdoor practical sessions from spring onwards. First six to eight weeks are theory then out on the Bees.
The course runs from February to end of August. Start On Sunday 23rd of February at 3pm to 5pm every Sunday through to August.
Cost is £75.00 for the child and the adult comes for free.
