North West Kent Countryside Partnership

North West Kent Countryside Partnership A non-profit organisation for environmental conservation and community engagement in north Kent. Our team relies in part on volunteer help.

North West Kent Countryside Partnership was developed out of a desire to the help the environment and local community. Since its inception, we have worked hard to provide support where it's most needed to schools, local community groups, parish and district councils and private landowners too. We're always happy to welcome new volunteers who would like to dedicate some of their time to helping the environment. If you'd like to lend a hand, please don't hesitate to contact us.

🌟Volunteers’ Week may be ending, but our appreciation isn’t 🌟
To every NWKCP volunteer past and present — thank you for everything you’ve given.
Your hard work in all weathers, your commitment, and everything you achieve makes a huge difference to our landscapes and communities.
💚 We couldn’t do it without you — and we wouldn’t want to.💚

☕Tea, biscuits, and a well-earned rest 💚
After a hard morning’s work in all weathers, there’s nothing better than a proper tea break.
These moments are a chance to warm up, catch up, and share a few laughs — and they’re just as important as the work itself.
Our NWKCP volunteers give so much energy and effort every session — and they’ve more than earned every cup of tea. 👏
💚 Thank you for everything you do 💚

Big impact, powered by volunteers 🌱
Everything we acheive, every litter pick, every cleared path, restored habitat, and improved green space is thanks in no small part to our volunteers.
Their time, effort and care helps wildlife thrive and keeps our countryside welcoming for everyone.
💚 The difference you make is huge — and we are so grateful. 💚

🧤Hard work, real results 🌿
NWKCP work parties are all about rolling up sleeves and helping to get the job done.
From coppicing and scrub clearance to digging ponds, our volunteers achieve so much together — often in tough conditions.
👏 Your teamwork and determination are what make it all possible.
THANK YOU! 👏

🌟 It’s Volunteers’ Week – and we’re celebrating our incredible NWKCP volunteers 🌟
Through all seasons, rain or shine, our volunteers show up with energy and enthusiasm, to care for our countryside.
From muddy boots in winter to hot summer days outdoors, they work tirelessly to protect and enhance the places we all love.
💚 Quite simply — we couldn’t do what we do without you.
THANK YOU 💚

This week we returned to survey the ponds created through the Natural England pond restoration and creation scheme.
It was amazing to see how well they’re developing, one pond created in 2022 is now teeming with life! Netting revealed an abundance of amphibians, including lots of newt larvae and common frog tadpoles 🐸
A fantastic example of how quickly well-designed ponds can support thriving wildlife.
