We are a community project to celebrate our two world famous bridges across the Menai Strait. Our posting on the page began in November 2014.

Prosiect cymunedol ydym i ddathlu ein pontydd byd enwog ar draws y Fenai. Menai Heritage is a community project exploring the history of the world-famous bridges spanning the Menai Strait as well as the local area. Our exhibition and collection of artefacts, housed in a restored church hall (the Thomas Telford Centre, across from Waitrose in Menai Bridge), has been fully accredited as a museum. We have also recently restored a Victorian warehouse (Prince's Pier) on the waterfront, which will be the future permanent home of our museum. The current hall will continue in its additional function as an active centre for community activities and group and school workshops. For previous posts see our old page:

Thank you to everyone who attended and took part in our Autumn Lecture series this year. Thanks to John Cole-Menai Heritage, Colin Jago-GeoMôn, Iwan Williams-Bangor University, Gwyn Roberts-Llanberis Mountain Rescue, Lowri Rees-Bangor University and a very special thanks to David Mills for attending with the recently completed scale model of the Menai Suspension Bridge. With a full house for each session and some great reviews. Now the work begins on planning our Spring Lecture Series for 2027. Special thanks also to our Volunteers and Supporters.

Diolch i bawb a mynychodd a gymerodd rhan yn ein cyfres o Ddarlithoedd yr Hydref eleni. This week our Autumn Lecture Series will be held on:
Wednesday, 28th October at 7.00pm:
Dr. Lowri Ann Rees, Menai Heritage Trustee and also of Bangor University will present, 'First Impressions, Visitor accounts of North Wales after the opening of Menai Suspension Bridge'.
David Mills will also join us once again with his scale model of the Bridge.

We hosted our first Autumn Lecture yesterday evening, presented by John Cole talking about his new book ‘Menai Bridge, Eighth Wonder of the World’.
We also welcomed David Mills who unveiled his scale model of the Bridge. Great to see a full house here at the Centre.
