Melbourn Hub The Hub is run for the community by the community. The Hub is located in the heart of the village and is a place ‘for the community provided by the community’.

We have a cafe, a library and four recently refurbished meeting rooms available for hire to businesses or community groups. It offers a range of facilities including, meeting rooms, The Library and The Bookmark Cafe.

We are looking forward to seeing you all at the fete tomorrow with some of our delicious bakes or just to have a chat, the weather is looking great.
Don’t forget our cafe is open as normal so you can still stop in for breakfast, lunch or coffees,
The Library is open until midday and then they will also be attending the fete.

Next Sunday is the Vaccination Clinic.

On Sunday 14th June The Hub will be hosting a children's vaccination clinic offering the various childhood vaccines listed. We are pleased to announce that the vaccination team will also have a number of adult vaccines such as shingles, pneumonia, RSV and Covid on the day, offering community support alongside our GP surgery. The clinic is on a walk in basis - no need to book.

Over the last 12 years the hub has been lucky to have many, many volunteers. So whether you have helped out with the opening of the hub, volunteer regularly or have helped out at one our events, we are so grateful for each and everyone one of you for giving up your time to help the community. As it National Volunteer week, let’s talk a little more about our volunteers.
Although we have a fantastic small team of paid staff running the kitchen and cafe, none of what we do at the Hub would be possible without the dedication, loyalty and unwavering support of a wide range of volunteers. Our amazing team of volunteers enjoy the inclusion and wellbeing that volunteering brings for the many people wishing to remain active in the community.

The dedicated (and also volunteer) Management Team that have run the Hub in recent years set their sights on making the operation as financially sound as possible.

The Hub’s management group, many of its serving staff and all of its administrative and library staff do what they do on an entirely voluntary basis.
