When opening Jenn’s Gym we wanted a logo that totally represented who we are. A positive and inclusive space for people with neurological conditions and disabilities.
It was a pleasure to collaborate with Mark at Revolver Design on our logo and we absolutely loved how it turned out. 👩🏼‍🦽‍➡️💙

What a fantastic night at The Savoy Hotel London!
After winning the Diversity and Inclusion Award at the Scotland and Northern Ireland Regional Final of the Federation of Small Businesses - FSB HSBC Small Business Awards Jenn’s Gym was invited to attend the National Final held at The Savoy Hotel London.
Although we didn’t win in our category this time, it was a fantastic experience and would highly recommend other small businesses to apply when the nominations open again later this year.
Congratulations to all the winners of both the Regional and National Final and special thanks to everyone involved in the organising and running of the event especially the staff who made sure the night was fully accessible for me.

A neuro-exercise charity in Londonderry set up by a woman who was paralysed in a gymnastics accident has won a national award.

Jennifer Smyth founded Jenn's Gym in January of last year.

The Eglinton woman was 16 when she was paralysed from the chest down.

The gym, which is the first of its kind in Northern Ireland, offers those with neurological conditions or disability a safe place to exercise.

The 29-year-old explained: “I used to train for 20 hours a week as a gymnast. Following my accident, I went from 20 hours a week to nothing. I wanted to create a space where people with disabilities could attend with confidence.”

What an incredible week! 🏆
On Tuesday we attended the HSBC UK Federation of Small Businesses - FSB Small Business Growth Awards Scotland and Northern Ireland Regional Final held at the Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa Glasgow.

We are delighted to announce that Jenn’s Gym won the 2026 Diversity & Inclusion Award for our focus on impact over profit!
We are now invited to the National Final being held at the Savoy Hotel in London on 4th June.

Today we were invited to attend a coffee and connect event at Balmoral Show to catchup with the FSB Northern Ireland Team. We had a wonderful time meeting the team and also exploring the wide variety of agricultural displays and diverse stalls.

We are very proud of what Jenn’s Gym has achieved in such a short amount of time and we are so grateful for all the support from our members, volunteers and the opportunities we are given to raise awareness of what we do.

I am delighted to have made the Belfast Telegraph 30 under 30 list for 2026!

I had no idea just how much of an impact opening Jenn’s Gym would be to the local and wider community. I’m just so pleased that the space I have created is being used by people with neurological conditions and disabilities like myself who want to exercise in a safe and positive environment.
