Could your community group host a Coffee Morning this October? ☕

Whether you’re part of a sports club, church group, residents’ group, parent group, social club, youth organisation, or local committee, Coffee Morning Month is a simple way to bring people together for Foyle Hospice.

It doesn’t have to be big or complicated.

A few cups of tea, some coffee, traybakes, buns, a raffle, or a gathering after your usual meeting can all help make a difference.

Every pound raised helps support care for local patients and families across our community.

Our Community Fundraiser, Ailbhe, can help you get started with support, ideas and materials.
To register your interest, contact Ailbhe at Foyle Hospice on 02871 359 888.

There’s a very special new addition to our Foyle Hospice grounds 🥰..

An oak tree has been planted by Darragh in memory of his mammy, La Tache Hussey, who was cared for by our hospice team 💙.
In July, Darragh planted the young oak tree and several weeks later, he returned to Foyle Hospice with his grandparents to check on its progress and see how it was growing. In Irish, the name Darragh means ‘oak’ or ‘oak tree’ which is also very fitting!

It was a beautiful moment to see Darragh back at the hospice, proudly checking on the tree he had planted and watching it begin to take root.
As the years pass, the oak tree will grow alongside Darragh, becoming a lasting reminder of his mammy and a special part of our hospice gardens.
We hope that every time Darragh visits, he will see his tree growing a little taller and remember the love and memories he shares with his mammy.

A simple tree, planted with love, that will hopefully be part of the Foyle Hospice grounds for many years to come 💙.

A heartfelt thank you to David and Evie Rose for visiting our fundraising centre to present a very special donation to Foyle Hospice.

David, son of Dawn and David, and Evie Rose, their granddaughter, are pictured presenting £2,636.28 and €14 to Ailbhe McDaid, Community Fundraiser at Foyle Hospice.

The money was raised by family and friends in memory of Dawn and David, with Craig Inglis also part of the fundraising but missing from the photo.

Fundraising in memory of loved ones is such a meaningful way to support Foyle Hospice, and we are truly grateful to everyone who donated and helped raise this incredible amount.

Every pound and euro raised helps us continue providing care and support for local patients and families across our community.

Thank you again to David, Evie Rose, Craig and all the family and friends of Dawn and David for thinking of Foyle Hospice. 💙
