NOT ONE BUT TWO FREE EVENTS!!

Just over 2 weeks until our Hymn and March Contest which takes place on Croston Village Green. Sunday 5th July.

Brass on the Green is a free spectator event so come along and enjoy a fantastic day of musical entertainment.

Huge thanks to Croston Parish Council, The Wheatsheaf, Out Lane Social and The Lord Nelson Croston for supporting and sponsoring the event.

The following week is our Red Admiral Summer Concert on Friday 10th July at Chorley Town Hall. FREE ENTRY! Thank you again to the Mayor of Chorley who's support is making this possible.

FREE CONCERT!

Yes you've read correctly. Due to the support and generosity of the Mayor of Chorley, we are able to make this years Red Admiral Summer Concert at Chorley Town Hall a free to attend event.

We are saddened to hear of the unexpected passing of Les Webb… a tragic loss for our movement… from everyone at Red Admiral Academy we send our heartfelt condolences to his family and our thoughts are with all members of Golborne Brass Band

Thank you to Leyland Band for inviting us to perform at their Matinée Concert today. It was great to play in front of a full audience at Chorley Town Hall and to share the stage with Leyland for some joint pieces.

Our Training Band also took to the stage for a couple of massed band pieces - an inspiring opportunity for them.

Red Admiral Brass will be performing a short set as well as some joint pieces with Leyland Band and our Training Band will also be taking to the stage for a couple of massed band items. A great opportunity for them to experience playing alongside the best!

On Friday we played at St James Church in Leyland. Great for our Beginner and Training Bands to get the opportunity to perform as part of it.

Our Youth Band's performance at the National Youth Championships on Saturday.

20 of these young players are still in our Beginner Band so to put on such a high quality performance in their first competition is an amazing achievement.

Their development under the direction of Christine, Emma and Stuart over the last year or so has been outstanding and they continue to improve week on week.

We are so proud of our Youth Band.

The first competition for our current Youth Band and they were fantastic. Every player has come on leaps and bounds over the last few weeks, both in confidence and playing ability and they absolutely delivered today.

They achieved a Bronze Award in the Challenge Section of the National Youth Championships, playing some difficult pieces and up against some amazing Youth Bands from all across the country.

Congratulations to Emma for leading and inspiring the band and creating an awesome performance.
