In 2016, the Mayor of Macclesfield (Cllr Alift Harewood-Jones MBE) wanted a Cadet to accompany her on civic duties and so established the position of Mayor's Cadet.
We are very proud of the Air Cadets from 201 (Macclesfield) have been selected.

A while ago we created a website to capture the history of 201 (Macclesfield) Squadron. We were contacted by Mr Richard Vass who was a cadet at 201 when the squadron was reformed in 1963. He sent us stories and photos and even a copy of his 3822 ! It is a fascinating addition to the history of 201 (Macclesfield).

A massive thank you to the RAF Red Arrows Aerobatic Team for hosting our visit today. Our cadets were given an incredible insight into the precision, teamwork, and dedication behind the work they do — and a wider look at life in the RAF.
It was an inspiring experience that will stay with them for a long time, and we’re truly grateful for the time, enthusiasm, and professionalism shown throughout the visit.

We now have 2 RCO's on Squadron. Staff giving up there Weekend to attend courses to benefit our cadets. 😊

📣 This weekend the Royal Air Force Air Cadets gained 13 new Air Rifle RCOs from all across the country! 📣

They are now able to plan and conduct Air Rifle practices and are responsible for the safe and efficient management of the range.

As a large number of units have an air rifle range, this means more cadets taking part in one of the most popular activities we offer.
