Cre8 We're about making change happen, being in community, and having fun while we're doing it.

Cre8 is an independent charity based on the Moss Estate in Macclesfield. It is governed by a board of experienced Trustees,
some of whom are connected to St Barnabas Church on the estate. Cre8 provides projects and activities and also works towards
empowering young people and adults in the local area to make
change happen for themselves and also for their neighbourhood. The Cre8 programme is staffed by a small team of full and part time
professionally qualified workers. The staff are heavily supported in
their work by volunteers, some of whom live on the Estate and others are drawn from the wider community and Churches in the town. Almost all the workers live on the estate and this provides Cre8 with a unique point of engagement with access into the neighbourhood and the families living here. The Cre8 Youth and Community Programme is made up of:
• Cre8 Macclesfield Ltd (the Charity)
• Cre8 Works Ltd (the business - a social enterprise)

A massive thanks to Motus Commercials DAF Macclesfield for their incredible generosity. At Cre8, we like to be practical and the gift of tools and equipment will help us build, repair, discover, and learn with young people. Awesome!

Young people are awesome and they need you.

Volunteers are needed for our youth clubs:
• Secondary Age: Tuesdays 6pm to 8pm
• Primary Age: Wednesdays 5pm to 7pm.

Help give a young person significance by simply playing table tennis, doing a craft, cooking food, kicking a football, or just asking them how their week was. Help give them a safe place to be and hang out....phone free. Maybe even help go on residential!

If you are can help us keep these valuable youth clubs going, please do get in touch. Come and visit, see if it might fit. It’s vibrant, dynamic, but so worthwhile for the young people. Even if you can’t do every week and can only give a little each month, please do contact us to arrange a visit and see if its for you.

Happy September. Just a short note to say good luck to all who have returned to school this week, well done to all parents and carers for getting through the summer, and to the those working in education…..it's nearly Christmas.

A big thank you to all who got involved over the summer and to those who helped make things happen. Some fished, others did art, Ewar was taken apart, young people from club went on residential, lots from the community went to Peak Wildlife, a number of young people built a shed, and others enjoyed the Greenbelt festival in the rain! On top of that, many worked hard to keep the Surplus Food Grocery going each week while others continued to wash milk floats and cut grass.

It’s been full, but through it all we’ve been reminded that young people are awesome, you are awesome, and the community of the Moss Rose Estate is a good one.

We look forward to our regular activities starting again, look out for dates and times.
