DISC is a free service to support the Carers of people living with Dementia in East Sussex.

We apply for funding grants routinely when we can and we are currently mostly funded by The National Lottery Community Fund but this does not cover the full running costs of our service.

On Saturday Louise & Allicha gave a Dementia Awareness talk for Diocese of Chichester Lay Ministry Day at St John The Evangelist in Eastbourne. This talk was bespokely written to support parishioners who are living with Dementia.🧠

We are so grateful to get the opportunity to speak to so many people, raise the awareness of Dementia in East Sussex and what our service has to offer.💚

On Saturday Emma, Louise & May had the pleasure of attending the unveiling the new home of the Hastings in Stitches art piece in HEART - Hastings Emergency Action Response Team info hub right in the centre of town in Hastings. The ribbon was cut by our Mayor of Hastings 2026/2027 Paula Warne 💚

Our embroidery shows a delicate image of the brain, our logos green squares, our name DISC and is on hand dyed pink fabric to represent us as a company of women. A huge thank you to Aurora Barrett, a local artist who made our piece. 🧵🪡

We are very proud to be part of Hastings history and to meet everyone involved.💚
