Lurgan Youth Annexe Lurgan Youth Annexe is an Education Authority youth centre based at Lurgan Junior High School.

We aim to inspire, support and challenge children and young people to be the best that they can be. LYA offers children and young people aged 8-25 a wide range of activities and projects aimed at supporting emotional, personal and social development. Staff engage with children and young people to support learning and educational opportunities which aim to develop confidence and resilience. Lurgan

Top level engagement at Lurgan Youth Annexe with Dickson Primary School Year 6 class this morning.

Youth workers and teachers supported pupils on the topic of school transition. This process will be a journey for the pupils over the next year as we prepare them as a group for their move to post-primary school in September 2027.

Key learning outcomes achieved:
Improved level of peer support
Understanding of approaches to manage feelings and emotions
Development of individual decision-making skills
Teamwork and communication skills enhanced
Knowledge of the challenges and opportunities available in post-primary school
Partnership between local school and Armagh Banbridge Craigavon Area Youth Service

Here's an overview of Lurgan Youth Annexe summer provision for 2026. Feel free to call in and register your son or daughter! We have a varied range of activities this year which will keep all the children and young people motivated and busy as soon as they get off school!

We look forward to welcoming back Aunt Sandra's Candy Factory who will be hosting a roadshow event on Thurs 2nd July from 6.30-8.30pm for Juniors!

Please take note of the specific age ranges for the sessions. For the summer period Intermediate and Seniors will be blended together for the Tuesday and Wednesday evening sessions.
