🚲🛴 Important Safety Reminder 🛴🚲

At Taghnevan Youth & Community Centre, we're committed to keeping our centre safe and welcoming for everyone.

To help protect the safety of our members, volunteers, staff and visitors, e-bikes and e-scooters are not permitted beyond the club gates and within the centre grounds.

This approach helps us create a safer environment where young people can enjoy activities, socialise, and take part in programmes without unnecessary risks.

We appreciate the support and cooperation of all our members, parents, and the wider community in helping us maintain a safe and positive space for everyone 💙💚

🟢Tuesday:
- Senior Provision (Yr9+) 6.45pm - 9.15pm

🟢Thursday:
- Intermediate/Senior Provision (Yr 7, 8+9) 6.45pm - 9.15pm

🟢Friday:
- Junior Provision: 3.30pm - 6pm
- Seniors Small Grants Residential (closed group)

It is important that we receive a completed registration form from Young People before accessing the centre.

Please note: for the health and safety of all our members it is important to only come to the sessions that are designated for your age group.

🌟 Weekly Highlights at Taghnevan Youth & Community Centre 🌟

What a fantastic week we've had! 😊

💬 Our sessions focused on creating safe and inclusive spaces, challenging stereotypes and prejudice, and promoting acceptance, respect, and understanding of others. Young people engaged in meaningful discussions and activities that encouraged positive attitudes and community spirit.

👩‍🍳🍕 We also got busy in the kitchen! Our young people enjoyed cooking and baking, making delicious homemade pizzas and tasty shortbread. There were lots of opportunities to learn new skills, work together, and have fun.

⚽🎨 Plenty activities too! From football and sports games to arts and crafts, there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was great to see so much creativity, teamwork, and energy throughout the week.

☀️📅 Behind the scenes, staff have been busy meeting and planning an exciting programme of activities for the summer months ahead.

Today, we said goodbye to our much-loved former member, Aislinn.
Aislinn brought so much joy, laughter, and happiness to the young people and staff at Taghnevan Youth Club. Her kindness, warmth, and vibrant spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

We are incredibly proud to have shared so many special memories with Aislinn and will always cherish the positive influence she had within our club community.

At this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with Aislinn’s family, friends, and all those who loved her. May they find strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.

Forever remembered, forever missed 💙

Reminder we are open this evening for Senior Provision for Year 9+ from 6.45pm-9.15pm.

📢 Supporting Young People in Our Communities

We know that some families may be concerned about the possibility of social unrest in certain areas over the coming days.
EA Youth Service youth centres will continue to remain open wherever it is safe to do so, providing young people with a safe space, positive activities and support from trusted youth workers.

Some centres will also be offering additional sessions or extended opening hours to support young people during this time.

If you're unsure where your young person can spend their evening safely this week, check your local youth centre page for activities, opening times and updates.

Together, we can continue to provide safe spaces for young people across our communities.

⭐️Taghnevan Youth Centre Weekly Update⭐️

What a fantastic week of youth provision we had! 🎉

Our activities were buzzing with fun: table tennis tournaments 🏓, drum kit tutorials 🥁, pizza making 🍕, play dough creation 🎨, and netball training 🏐!

Highlights of the week:
✨ Our Small Grants programme continued with an important workshop on drugs and alcohol provided by Start 360. Huge well done to the lads for their engagement and participation! 👏
✨ Our junior youth provision was booming with positivity as we celebrated our wonderful volunteers! 💖 So much appreciation for them!

Don't forget, we're back tonight from 6:45 PM - 9:15 PM for our intermediate session! See you there! 👋
