Another stunning evening as the sun starts to set over the Castle View Meadow.

The date is set for our summer cut, come join for a day of scything and raking on Wednesday 5th August.

Refreshments and smiles will be provided for free 😊 ☀️

Tomorrow's Tuesday talk will take place at Castle View Meadow at 7pm. Hear the story behind the battle to save the files from development and how, now owned by the community it is sticking to improve its biodiversity.

We managed to dodge the rain and keep warm with our third anniversary of this beautiful community owned green space.

Thanks to all that came and shared their chat and memories. We raised almost £200 from donations which goes towards maintenance costs and more.

We’re so pleased that the meadow and its hedge are looking a lot more healthy thanks to the support from Caring for God's Acre and God's Acre Volunteers

We’ve recently sown some suitable native wild flower seeds and plants in the meadow.

The Castle View Meadow is due its Spring haircut tomorrow (Tuesday) we'll be welcoming volunteers from Caring for God's Acre and locals to help with some raking, scything and bag dragging. We always welcome anyone new willing to lend a hand.

The meadow was saved from housing development 4 years ago and is now owned by the community.

We all enjoy this very special green space and the lovely views.
