Stocking Up and Stepping Up

As part of Father 2 Father’s yearly ‘Father Figures Feeding Families’ initiative, men and fathers come together to serve, support, and uplift families who need it most. It’s powerful to see fathers uniting with purpose — leading by example and showing what community really looks like.

This Saturday was a reminder of the teamwork and dedication that go into serving our community. Behind every loaded trolley is planning, partnership, and people who genuinely care.

These hampers and shopping bags will be delivered to schools and churhes across North East London, where they’ll be distributed to families who are most in need. Schools are often the first to recognise when a household is facing hardship, and by partnering with them we can ensure support reaches the right homes with dignity, care, and zero barriers.

A big thank you to all the men who showed up, and an even bigger thank you to my sons for standing alongside me. Moments like these build character, connection, and legacy.
Special thanks to my wife and my sister for always supporting the cause and beautifully decorating the hampers — adding love, care, and dignity to every package that goes out.

“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” — Hebrews 13:16

Proud of what we’re building — one trolley at a time.

Wishing all fathers a Happy Father’s Day! Today is a celebration of the love, guidance, and strength that dads bring into our lives. Whether you're spending the day with family or simply reflecting on cherished memories, may your day be filled with joy and appreciation.

Let’s also take a moment to remember and honour the fathers who are no longer with us. Their wisdom, kindness, and the love they shared remain in our hearts forever.

Here’s to all the incredible dads—past and present. You are appreciated and loved.

Celebrating the Father’s Voice Interim Report 11/06/2025- House of Commons
We were delighted to celebrate the publication of the A Father’s Voice interim report—a milestone in our collective effort to centre and uplift the voices of fathers in policy, services, and everyday life.
This report does more than highlight challenges—it reflects resilience, transformation, and the possibility of real change when fathers are truly listened to.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the speakers who have shared their lived experiences, their research, and their unwavering commitment. Your voices brought light, depth, and urgency to this vital work.

I’d like to say a thank you the following speakers and consortium members for sharing a few words:

• Lib Peck Kelly Reid BSc (Hons) Viv Ahmun (He/Him)
Jake Ferguson (He/Him)
Joel Calvin Sarah Najjuma
Akil Hunte Wilbur, Dez Wilbur Hameed Adigun Jamie Skipper , Gabriel Asante-Boadu Chris Mozo Mitchelle Greenaway
David Mullings Abdirahim Hassan Abdishakur Mohamed
LifeLine Projects Sharon White (DFIFIP)
Anna Tarrant Dr Mark Prince OBE
Elliott Rae Chris Wild

The Father’s Voice interim report is not just a pilot programme—it’s a movement.

Thanks to the work of the Fatherhood Consortium, over 88.7% of fathers remained engaged through our wraparound support model.
Most notably, the majority self-referred—not through mandates.

This tells us something powerful:
Fathers want support. They just need to know it’s there.

So what’s next?

The report’s Call to Action offers a clear path forward:

• Funders and Councils – Treat father-focused programmes as essential
• Professionals – Embrace father-inclusive, judgment-free practices
• Community Organisations – Keep leading, with secure, long-term funding
• Policy Makers – Champion fatherhood through campaigns and legislation

The Father’s Voice report shows that this model works.

It builds trust.
It fosters stability.
It empowers men to become the fathers their children deserve.

Let’s not lose this moment.

Let’s build on it.
Let’s scale it.
Let’s fund it.
Let’s champion it.

Because when we support our fathers, we don’t just fix problems—
We unlock futures.

We’re proud to celebrate the phenomenal success of the Fatherhood Consortium, a trailblazing initiative, not only did we smash our targets, the Fatherhood Consortium, successfully brought together community organisations, supported by the Violence Reduction Unit, with a shared mission: to transform the lives of fathers and families from the most marginalised communities.
