A landlord civil financial penalty has been quashed following a successful Tribunal appeal. The council appealed the decision to the Upper Tribunal but their appeal was unsuccessful. The civil penalty notice was served out of time and we have new case law on this important topic.

Two financial penalties served on the landlord and managing agent have been cancelled following successful Tribunal appeals.

Wandsworth Council introduced a second selective licensing scheme covering East Putney, West Putney and Northcote council wards on 1 April 2026. If you rent out a property in the area and haven't yet applied, you are committing an offence.
