🇫🇷 NEWS: France’s top court has REJECTED a social media ban for under-15s, saying that it infringes on free speech and privacy.

This is vindicating for civil liberties campaigners worldwide - sweeping social media restrictions are not the answer to children's online safety issues.

Instead, they are a strangulation of freedom online and remodel internet access for everyone.

🇬🇧 Meanwhile in the UK, the Government is pushing for eyewatering internet controls - from ID checks for social media to curfews and spyware monitoring our phones.

🕶️Meta plans to embed facial recognition into their 'pervert glasses' - newly surfaced patent documents reveal.

This isn't the first time they tried to do this...

🔸Earlier this year, Meta began adding facial recognition code into an app for its smart glasses which could identity strangers.

🔸A Swedish newspaper revealed that sensitive footage from these glasses was being used to train Meta AI.

🔸Meta backtracked, removing the tech from their glasses.

But now...they’re once again planning to embed this intrusive tech into their creepy eyewear.

Whilst the EU is reining in facial recognition, Britain’s wild-west approach means that this Orwellian software could be a gift to stalkers, s*x offenders and domestic abusers.

🚨NEWS: Sainsbury's PAUSE live facial recognition use in one shop after an innocent man was wrongly accused of being a shoplifter

"Pausing live facial recognition in one Sainsbury’s store does nothing to protect the millions of people at risk of similarly appalling treatment in the stores all over the country where exactly the same cameras are being used.

Sainsbury’s needs to drop this system completely.
