Do you know what Slack stands for? We didn’t either so we went to find out.

We arranged a virtual and in-person Slack Hackathon for our Supermum community with the Slack team at the Salesforce UK AI Centre.

Together they got trained, they discussed and they got hands on with the system to build. They loved it.

Slack is now the central operating system for businesses bringing together tools, knowledge and comms all in one place for a team to work. It’s advanced so much and AI is at the heart of it with Slack bot. It’s amazing for a business.

We upskill women in tech who want to relaunch their career or scale their business with the right systems in place.

The biggest question mums ask, is how do we make it pay to work with a new born baby?

I was in those shoes too... and I found a way..

In 2010 I closed my business and needed a new career. I decided to retrain in tech

In 2011 I travelled around the world and worked as a freelance Salesforce consultant.

In 2012 I had a baby and worked 3 days a week completely remotely

In 2013 I had more work than I could manage and hired a team

In 2014 I grew my consultancy to over 5 people.

In 2016 I launched Supermums to help other mums train in tech

In 2019 I got my golden hoodie from Salesforce and we expanded globally.

Fast forward 10 years..

Supermums has supported mums from all over the world to relaunch their careers.

We have trained thousands of women and helped to changes their lives.

Its so lovely to hear the success stories and get their amazing feedback.

I know what it takes to start over with a family..

I had to start from scratch.

I had to retrain and learn new skills

I had to work whilst breastfeeding and looking after children

I had to find and sell myself to land new workIts hard work but its worth it..

What I love about the job role is..

Working with people and businesses to boost performance

Improving their clunky processes and systems

Learning about new tech and AI products

Making a positive impact on people and organisations

A parent was able to get home to his son earlier as his admin reduced
A charity increased their donations through implementing an online payment form.

Its nice making people happier at work from the CEO to the front-line worker as tech and AI is helping them to get their job done quicker, faster and better.
