🐾 Ready to home - Gaudi 🐾

Little Miss Gaudi is up for adoption! She is approximately 9 months old. Gaudi was a pregnant stray - far too young to have babies. Now she awaits her forever home for 3 months now with no interest & we don't get why! 🥺

She LOVES people and playing 🥰 Outdoor access is a necessity!

Single cat household only as she does not like other animals. Good with children too!

PART-TIME POSITION – ROMNEY HOUSE CAT RESCUE

Practical Cat Care • Visitor Care • Administration

Romney House Cat Rescue is looking for a reliable, experienced and practical person to join our small team on a part-time basis.

The role involves a mixture of:

* 🐾 Practical cat care – feeding, cleaning, handling and caring for cats with a variety of needs
* 👥 Dealing with visitors and members of the public – including potential adopters
* 📋 Accurate administration and record keeping
* 🏠 Helping to maintain a clean, safe and well-organised rescue environment

EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL

Applicants must have previous professional experience working with cats.

Simply owning a cat, or having experience caring for your own pets, is not sufficient for this position. You will need to demonstrate that you have practical experience handling and caring for cats in a professional environment, ideally within a rescue, cattery, veterinary or similar setting.

You must be confident working independently, have excellent attention to detail and be comfortable dealing with the public. A caring attitude towards cats is essential, but so are reliability, professionalism, good organisational skills and a willingness to get stuck in.

If you have the relevant professional experience and would like to work as part of a small, dedicated cat rescue team, we would be pleased to hear from you.

🐾 Ready to adopt - Meet James! 🐈

James is a very special guy - having travelled from Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) whereby he stumbled upon a member of staff at a cat compound - James was so loving from the start but for some reason, no one wanted to home him! This guy has travelled via the US and Europe to come and find a home here, and has had all the necessary medical checks/neutering etc. to come to us and find somewhere special to call his forever home! 💙

James is nearly 3 years old and loves human affection! He loves to rub his head all over you, he comes when you call his name and is partial to a lap also! He can get a bit over stimulated and may do the odd swipe when he has had enough. So would suit a home with older children.

James must be an only-cat household because he is like a security guard disguised as a cat! He is loyal to who he loves and gets a bit jealous, so he starts the odd fight 🙈

Could you spare some time to help at the Romney House Cat Rescue Charity Shop in Petts Wood? 🐱💕

We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join our team and help out in the shop. Hours are flexible, so whether you can spare a regular day, a few hours a week or occasional time, we’d love to hear from you!

Volunteers play a hugely important part in helping us raise much-needed funds for the cats in our care. Every hour you give really does make a difference. ❤️

If you enjoy meeting people, working as part of a team and supporting a local cat rescue, we’d love to have you on board!
