So many people platformed Motaz Azaiza and held him up as a “beacon of hope.”

Now we know what that “hope” looked like: filming hostages being beaten and protecting Hamas instead of helping the people they abducted.

It’s wild how a celebrity who did blackface 10 years ago could be removed from a tour lineup, with people rallying behind the decision.

But when a celebrity did “Jewface” 14 years ago, suddenly we’re told they shouldn’t be cancelled because they said “Free Palestine.”

That double standard speaks volumes. Antisemitism doesn’t become acceptable just because the person responsible shares your politics.
