Charity Overview:

Green Synergy is a Lincoln based charity, founded in 2012, which uses gardening as a way of helping people come together to socialise, learn and thrive. Our work is focussed in Lincoln’s most disadvantaged communities and with isolated and vulnerable groups. We use social and therapeutic horticulture and grass roots community development methods to deliver projects which reach

right into the heart of these communities and help to tackle poverty and health inequalities, raise aspirations and help reinstall pride about the area. All of our projects are developed in response to local needs and developed with and for the communities in which we work. Our aims include: improving access to green space; increasing community cohesion; enhancing physical and mental wellbeing; providing worthwhile volunteering opportunities and stepping stones to employment; teaching people how to grow vegetables fruit and flowers; helping people have access to fresh food affordable food and; aesthetically enhancing local neighbourhoods.

🌲 Trip to Wild Pines Park

Last Saturday, Family Nature Zone enjoyed a fantastic trip to Wild Pines Park, and everyone had a wonderful time.

They enjoyed climbing high in the trees, trying their hand at archery, playing mini-golf and exploring the woods on the lookout for bears! 🏹⛳🐻

The day was made even more special with a visit from Juniper, the park’s friendly resident cat, who was a big hit with children and adults alike. 🐱💚

Reaching up and soaking in the sunshine, it’s a great reminder of what a bit of care, patience, and teamwork can grow. It’s coming along beautifully and we’re excited to watch it thrive throughout the season!

Giving back to the earth that gives us so much.

One of our amazing participants is on tidy-up duty, collecting fallen leaves and twigs from the canopy above. Instead of throwing it away, we’re adding it to our compost heap to create gold for our future garden beds!
