We're keeping our going at Caring Herts CIC! 🔆☀🏖😎💜

This time it was the turn of our Stoneyhall Hub in who went on a road trip to Brighton! They enjoyed a walk along the beach, seaside fish and chips and ice creams! A fantastic time was had by all and thank you to everyone who made this trip happen! It is so special to be able to do these things for our community members.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us these last few months to help get Caring Herts CIC off the ground and helping more than 600 people every week in North Hertfordshire. 💜

We know there are more people out there who are lonely who could benefit from our support. We can only help more people and host additional activities, such as our summer celebrations, if we receive donations to do so. Donations can come in lots of shapes and sizes:

💙 A little reminder for anyone who may be feeling lonely today: You are not the only one.

Many older people experience loneliness at some point in their lives, whether after retirement, bereavement, health changes, or simply because life looks a bit different than it once did.

If you’re finding the days a little quieter than you’d like, please remember that you are not alone and that connection is still possible. A conversation, a community group, or simply spending time with others can make a real difference.

We held a summer party at our Letchworth Hub last Friday!!! 🌴🌞😎🔆🏖🩴

We're celebrating all things summer here at Caring Herts CIC. A lot of our community members are unable to get away on holiday so we brought the holidays to them! We had beach games, a photo booth, cream teas, tropical outfits and more! Everyone had a blast and our volunteers (as usual) did an amazing job!

Did you know that we have Digital Champions at most of our Wellbeing Hubs?

They are volunteers provided through our partnership with Connected - North Herts and Stevenage and and they help our community members with any IT, technology or connectivity issues they might have.

These volunteers do an amazing job of helping our community members use their devices safely and access local services online.

Would you like to volunteer with Caring Herts CIC?

We are thrilled to announce that we are looking for new volunteers. If you're interested in helping us to support local people, we'd love to hear from you! 🙂

Our next volunteer induction session will be taking place on Wednesday 30th September 9:30am - 4:30pm at Blueharts Hockey Club, Lucas Lane, Hitchin, SG5 2JA.

Meet Alan!

Alan attends our Hub every week and loves coming along to see his friends. He is 103 years old and here he is with a picture of himself taken in 1945 showing him wearing a suit that he had tailor made when he was stationed in Canada. 🇨🇦

Our Wellbeing Hubs are not just helping reduce and but they are places where people make friends, share meaningful connections and where we can learn about each other's fascinating life stories. 💜

At our Healthy Memory Cafe, we had the amazing Saad on the piano playing a whole range of summertime hits... you could hear the singing down the street!
