In 2025, Food for Scotland distributed over 16,000 plates of nourishing, plant-based food across our local communities supporting families, individuals, and community groups through outreach, events, and relief initiatives.

This milestone has only been possible thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers and funders.

A heartfelt thank you to:
🙏 Lesmahagow Development Trust🙏 The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland🙏 Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire🙏 South Lanarkshire Council🙏 Climate Action Lanarkshire
🙏 Foundation Scotland and Trust

A special thank you to all our volunteers who form the dedicated teams cooking, delivering, serving, and cleaning to make this food distribution mission possible.

The funding, volunteering and belief in our mission have helped us reduce food insecurity, cut food waste, and strengthen community wellbeing in some of our local communities.
Together, we are building a kinder, more resilient, and more sustainable Scotland, supporting families, outreach projects, and community events one plate at a time. 💚🥣

We look forward to expanding our food distribution in Scotland in 2026 and hope you will all join us in making this possible

Thank you.

Thank You, Foundation Scotland!

We’re delighted to share that, with the generous support of Foundation Scotland, Krishna Eco Farm has installed a new Ridan Food Waste Composter.

This system is already turning our garden and kitchen waste into rich compost for our organic growing, helping us cut waste and support a more sustainable, circular eco farm. It’s also become a great learning tool for our volunteers and visitors.

We’re truly grateful for Foundation Scotland’s support in helping us grow a greener, more sustainable community. 💚🌍

🌱 A big thank you to South Lanarkshire Council for supporting Iskcon Scotland with a £2,500 Climate Emergency Grant towards repairing and maintaining our wind turbines!

Repaired wind turbines helping power our greenhouses means we are able to grow more organic veg for our Food for Scotland program, our meal delivery service, benefiting the elderly and low-income families.

The alpacas were definitely the highlight of this Sunday’s Nature’s Way: Walk, Learn, Change Festival at the Krishna Eco Farm! And to top it all off, the rain kindly waited until after the festival before pouring down.

Everyone enjoyed the the walk with the alpacas and having a chance to pet them, taste fruit from the trees in our orchard, explore the grounds and learn about what we grow, witness our composting system in action, and hear a little about our renewable energy technology — all rounded off with a delicious meal.

A huge thank you to Climate Action Lanarkshire for sponsoring this event and of course to everyone who came along and made it such a special day!
