Last week we attended at Blacklands Farm.

We had a brilliant day and our Beavers enjoyed participating in a variety of activities, some of which were new to them.

They all did amazingly and it was great to see how they threw themselves into the activities with big smiles.

For us as leaders, it’s always really special watching our YP try new things and increase in confidence. The adults also had a fantastic day and the atmosphere was amazing.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising and running all the activities etc - it was our first Go Beavers as a colony and we all had a wonderful time. The sleepy silence on the coach back was very telling 🤣

Narrowing down the photos has been very difficult but here is a selection to highlight what an amazing day we had.

Looking forward to next year 🩵

We kicked off the new half term with our Cubs by spending Thursday evening at Lancing Fire Station.

We got to learn about the role of a firefighter, learn about the station and engines. Our cubs came up with some excellent questions and we all learnt a lot. We also got to see inside the fire engine and use the water hose.

Thank you so much to the team at Lancing Fire Station for giving up your evening to host us. We had a brilliant time and we really appreciate your time.

Fancy joining the adventure? We still have spaces in our Cubs section for children aged 8-10.5 years old and would love to welcome new Cubs to our pack. Please email the Cubs team on [email protected] and we will be in touch with further information.

We also have volunteering opportunities available - whether it’s regularly supporting one of our sections or becoming a trustee and supporting the group as a whole (trustee eligibility checks apply) that interests you, there’s something for everyone.

Volunteering is and means we can continue to deliver to our young people. For an informal, no pressure chat about our available roles, contact Meg on [email protected]

One year ago today, Beavers returned to 4th Lancing and what an incredible year it has been.

In our session yesterday, we celebrated all of our Beavers and everything they have achieved over the last year. We also celebrated our first lot of Beavers who have completed their first year in Scouting along with two of our leaders who have also completed their first year in Scouting.

It has been a year of and seeing our Beavers try new activities and gain confidence in themselves has been amazing.

We are excitedly looking ahead to GoBeavers on Sunday and to the rest of the summer term.

Thank you so much to our wonderful Beavers (and of course, their parents) and our leaders for all of their hard work and dedication over the last year. It has been an incredible year and I am so proud of each and every one of you.

Here’s to the next year and beyond! 🩵

We do have some spaces in our Beaver Colony so if you’d like to join the adventure, please contact me (Meg) via email for more information - [email protected]
