The 3rd Shoreham Sea Scout Group is looking volunteers to help lead our popular sessions. If you're looking to gain experience working with children or want to give back to the local community, we want to hear from you!

• Scout Team Leader: Working with ages 10–14.

What’s in it for you?

• Skill Development: Gain hands-on experience in leadership and activity planning.
• Water Qualifications: No maritime experience? No problem! We provide the training, and there are opportunities to become a qualified water activities instructor. Don’t like water at all? No problem either! Help out on the land!
• Full Support: We provide comprehensive training and support.
• Zero Cost: A DBS check is required and training is fully funded by the Scout Association.

The Commitment:

Sessions typically run for 1 to 2 hours weekly. It’s a short time commitment that makes a massive impact on the lives of local young people!

This event is organised by an amazing group from the District that I used to belong to. It’s a one day incident hike, and they’ve opened it up a bit more this year. The date is 9th May and one of their stipulations is that each team needs to supply a DBS’d adult volunteer to assist on check points. I’ve done it personally and in addition to being fun, spending time in the sunshine on the downs, they also look after you. Greg
