How are we at the start of September already… and the beginning of autumn?! 🤷‍♀️

To get out of the cold tomorrow, why not come along to our Over 55’s Luncheon Group and enjoy a delicious roast dinner? 😋

This year marks 30 years of The Welcome supporting the Knutsford community - and we're looking for a General Manager to lead us into our next chapter

We're a community café and support centre serving around 13,500 people across Knutsford, with a particular focus on Longridge and Shaw Heath - an area recently confirmed among the most deprived 20% of neighbourhoods in England. As demand grows with the cost-of-living crisis, we need a hands-on leader to run our café, our services, and our small team, and help us build a sustainable future

£35,000 – £40,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience), full time (39 hrs/week), permanent, based in Knutsford. Closing date: Tuesday 15 September 2026

Volunteers Needed! ☺️

The Bread and Butter Thing will be at The Welcome on Tuesday 1st September, between 10am and 12pm, and we’re looking for some friendly volunteers to lend a hand as a one-off!

We need some help with unloading the van and packing the food bags. It’s a great way to get involved, meet others and support the local community 💙

Students aged 16+ are very welcome to come along and help out before heading back to college or university

We’d really appreciate your help, so please do get in touch if you’re able to help out on 1st September! 👍

Our Debt Centre Manager, Gail, will be at The Welcome in Knutsford on 7th September, from 1–3pm, for a friendly drop-in to chat about debt and finances. Whether you’re looking for advice, support, or simply someone to talk things through with, Gail will be there to listen and help with no judgement.

If you’re struggling with debt and would like some extra support, you can also call 0800 328 0006 to book a home visit from our Debt Centre team.
