Today is World Bee Day and we're proud to announce Knutsford is now recognised as a Bee Friendly Town. 🐝

The award recognises communities which have taken action to support pollinators and is presented by the Bee Friendly Trust.

To celebrate, residents can collect free wildflower seed packets, along with a sticker and window sticker from Knutsford Library, Knutsford Market Hall and Knutsford Olde Sweet Shoppe. They are available from today until stocks run out and were donated by the Bee Friendly Trust.

You can read more about the Knutsford Bee Trail and positive action you can take to support pollinators at www.knutsfordtowncouncil.gov.uk/bee-trail.

For Your Information - water supply issue at Leighton Hospital

The leak affecting the water supply at Leighton Hospital has now been identified and repaired, and our normal water supply has been restored.

Patient safety remained our priority throughout today and we’d like to thank everyone for their understanding and support.

We fully plan for our services to return to normal, however, if there is any impact, patients will be contacted if their appointment is affected. If you do not hear from us, please attend as planned. Visiting guidance has now returned to normal.

If you need medical help, but you’re not sure where to go, use NHS 111 to get assessed and directed to the right place for you - including your GP practice, pharmacy, or safe self-care at home. Call, go online or use the NHS App. Info: https://nhs.uk/111
