πŸ† Last night, the HEY Endo team attended the Yorkshire Choice Awards 2026, and what an incredible evening it was! πŸ’ƒπŸ»

We were honoured to receive four nominations:

🌟 Kate Granger Outstanding Contribution Award – Dr Barbara Guinn
🌟 Volunteer of the Year – Ashleigh Hirst
🌟 Volunteer of the Year – Helen Brewster
🌟 Charitable Excellence Award – HEY Endo

While HEY Endo and Ashleigh didn't make the final shortlist in their categories, being nominated alongside so many inspiring individuals and organisations was an achievement in itself.

A huge congratulations to Dr Barbara Guinn for making the final shortlist in the Kate Granger Outstanding Contribution Award category! A fantastic recognition of her dedication and impact. πŸ‘πŸ»

We're also incredibly proud that Helen ( Beryl Cone) made it through to the final four in the Volunteer of the Year category, standing out amongst 30 nominees! What an amazing achievement! πŸ’ƒπŸ»

Although neither Barbara nor Helen took home the final trophy, reaching the final four is something to be immensely proud of. With hundreds of people in the room celebrating the incredible work happening across Yorkshire, it was a privilege simply to be recognised amongst such outstanding company.

And whilst we may not have won as individuals, every nomination, every shortlist, and every conversation about our work is a win for endometriosis awareness and recognition. Seeing endometriosis advocacy represented on such a prestigious stage helps shine a light on a condition that affects 1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth, and that's something worth celebrating. πŸ’›

Most importantly, we'd like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to all of the winners and finalists. Your dedication to supporting communities, changing lives, and making a difference is truly inspiring. ❀️

Thank you to everyone who has supported HEY Endo, our volunteers, and our mission. We couldn't do what we do without you.

Research participation opportunity from The University of Oxford.

Have you had keyhole surgery to investigate symptoms of long-term pelvic pain?

Were you told that findings at surgery were 'normal' but have ongoing pain?

We want to talk to people who have had this experience to understand more about it and help us think about how healthcare could be improved

Check the posters below for information on how to get involved
