Cathcart Model Railway Exhibition

The 2026 Cathcart Model Railway Exhibition, organised by the Clydes...

24/10/2026

First day at the Cathcart Model Railway Exhibition is now over, and we think this might be a first in Scottish railway modelling.

We actually had live weather at Findun Grange today, with a rain storm coming across the end of the layout.

The response to the sudden downpour was swift, and the rain diverter was in place before you could say 'Heath Robinson'.

A massive shout out to all the exhibitors and staff who came along at the end of the day to help us physically lift the entire layout, with stock and detailing still in place, to move it three feet further down the hall.

We should be back to normal operation in the morning for day two of the show at Pollockshaws Burgh Hall. Hope we can stand down the Rail Replacement Boat service tomorrow.
