💜 International Overdose Awareness Day 2026 💜

Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember those whose lives have been lost to overdose, hold space for the families and loved ones left behind, and stand alongside everyone affected.

The 2026 theme is “25 Years On. Still Needed.” And sadly, it is still needed.

We feel incredibly privileged and grateful for the people, support, opportunities and circumstances that have helped us along the way. We know that not everyone is given the same chances, the same support or the same safety nets.

Today is a reminder not to take those things for granted.

It is a day to choose compassion over judgement, understanding over stigma and support over shame. It is also a reminder that behind every statistic is a person, a family and a story.

We remember.
We raise awareness.
We support recovery.
We help where we can.
And we hope for a future where this day is no longer needed. 💜
