WE NEED YOUR HELP! Good morning everyone. As Ivybridge Community Food continues to expand, we will soon need more volunteers. Volunteers are needed immediately for helping with the running of the Community Fridge, and we are hoping to start evening collections of the Food Club fairly soon. The time scale will be approximately 5.30 until 7 pm on Tuesday evenings, and we will definitely need more volunteers to help us achieve this aim.

We have enough volunteers for our Tuesday afternoon Sessions.

Look at all that lovely, fresh, green fruit and veg on its way this month!

June sees crunchy, fresh-feeling treats like our own mini cucumbers, Tenderstem broccoli, UK broad beans and juicy melons bursting with sunshine. Salads are peppery and fresh, with delicate rocket and lollo rosso, and we'll have beautiful, full-flavoured heritage tomatoes coming in too. Samphire is one of the season's hardest won, but most special harvests - we gather it down on a tidal estuary across what was once organic farmland, and one of those seasonal treats that's well worth waiting for.

Happy new week and happy new month of June everyone. Can you believe that we're almost half way through the year already?!

Are you against food waste? I think most of us would say YES to that question. Well, here at the Ivybridge Food Club, we are really trying to do something about it. If you haven't been before, why not come along and see what we do. The Club really is for EVERYONE, whether you live on your own, are a couple, or have a family. We feel that many people aren't aware of this. If we can stop all this food going to landfill, then let's do something about it! You can be assured of a warm welcome. St John's Church Hall, every Tuesday. Community Cafe is open from 12 - 2, with shopping from 1 - 1.30. We would love to see you there 🥰

Hi everyone. Happy Bank Holiday weekend to you all. We hope that you're enjoying the glorious weather at the moment, although we realize that it's not for everyone! ☀️. It's also Half Term week, so hopefully you'll be able to have some fun with the children in the good spell of weather.

Don't forget that children are more than welcome at the Food Club, and we look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday.
