Bribar Bat Test Day is back at Britannia TTC!

We’re delighted to welcome Bribar Table Tennis for the third year on Sunday 13th September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for players of all levels to test a wide range of blades and rubbers from leading manufacturers — and if you find something you love, you can pick it up on the day. There will be special test‑day offers.

On previous occasions, the Bat Test Day has also been a great social get‑together, with players from across the region mixing, catching up, and looking ahead to the new season. It’s always been a lively atmosphere, with plenty of discussion about equipment choices, league matches coming up, and how everyone is preparing for the year ahead.

The Bribar team are extremely knowledgeable and always happy to advise on the best equipment to suit your game. Whether you’re looking to upgrade, experiment, or simply learn more about what’s out there, this is the perfect chance.

A big Britannia thank you to Zygis 💙🏓

Zygis first started playing table tennis in the after‑school club at St Pancras back in early 2018. Since then, he’s become a real character at Britannia — full of personality, energy, and loved by so many across the club.

He’s grown as a player over the years and even joined the TT4you International Training Camp in the Netherlands a couple of times, proudly representing Britannia abroad. He’s also supported our younger players in sessions, including his brother Natas, bringing enthusiasm and spirit wherever he goes.

A huge thank you as well to his dad, who replaced the old, unsafe tiles at the club entrance with a brand‑new concrete path — making it safer for our older members and improving the club for everyone. Their contribution has meant a lot.

As the family now moves back to Lithuania, we want to wish them all the very best.

Good luck, Zygis — you will be missed. Once Britannia, always Britannia. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇱🇹💙🏓

Great to see the former Bramford Diner team back in action — they’ve now reopened as Waterfront Diner at Bramford Golf Club, with doors opening last Sunday.

Patrick, one of the owners, has a table tennis background, and his daughter Shannon has been — and continues to be — a big part of the Britannia junior setup.

A lovely family and a café we can genuinely recommend. Well worth a visit if you’re after a proper all‑day breakfast. Wishing them every success in their new home at the golf club.

The popular Waterfront Diner in Bramford is set to close it's doors on Friday after more than a decade ahead of relocating toa new nearby venue.

Good weekend for Isaac, winning the U21 National Championship on Saturday. Unfortunately, Isaac couldn't repeat this in the U19's on Sunday.

Cadet & Junior League – Day 4 Round‑Up!
Final day of the season
What a fantastic end to this year’s Cadet & Junior League. The hall was buzzing from start to finish, and our Britannia players once again showed determination, teamwork, and real progress across all divisions.
🥇 A special congratulations to Cadet Team 4, who were crowned Division 4 champions! A brilliant achievement built on consistency and great team spirit — Elliot, Jacob and Seb supported each other superbly all day.

A huge thank you to John Graham for organising another smooth and well‑run event, supported brilliantly by Alexander and Tarun. It’s a big job to keep the whole day flowing, and their efforts make a massive difference.

Thanks also to our on‑the‑day coaches Lucy and Praveen, who barely had a moment to breathe with so many matches happening at once. Joe, Sean and Wayne were missed today, but their support over the first three days has been invaluable. Also many thanks for the support of the parents.

🏅 Runners‑up finishes for Britannia:
• Junior Team 1 – Division 2
A superb effort, especially from Seb McL, returning from injury and playing a total of 19 singles across Juniors and Cadets — winning 17 of them. Outstanding!
• Cadet Team 1 – Division 1
Finished just 1 point behind winners Paragons and level with Rougham in an extremely tough division. Hanusri, Maisie and Thinuka also stepped up and played some matches in the Juniors.
• Cadet Team 3 – Division 3

📊 Other team results:
• Junior Team 2 – 6th in Division 2
• Cadet Team 2 – 3rd in Division 2
• Cadet Team 6 – 3rd in Division 4
• Cadet Team 5 – 4th in Division 1 (a tough ask with only two players available)

Great evening with the Britannia coaching team last night!
We got together for a well‑deserved social — a chance to relax, enjoy a meal, and recognise all the effort everyone puts into coaching at the club.
We were only missing newly qualified Level 1 coach Chris, who had a very good reason… he was off watching an Ipswich Town win!

Completing the coaching team, but not there last night are our two young leaders, Danny and Percy, who continue to do a brilliant job supporting our U11 sessions.

Coaching is at its best when you work as a team: supporting each other, sharing ideas, and always putting the players first. That’s exactly the culture we have at Britannia.

With my focus shifting more towards my role as Coach Developer with Table Tennis England, I’ve had to slow down at the club — but it’s fantastic to see the coaching team thriving and the club in such capable hands. Their energy and willingness to learn make a huge difference.
