During the Easter school holidays, MOTE is hosting a children's art exhibition called 'Going, Going, Gone'. It features animals that are extinct or endangered. We have artworks from four Ipswich schools on show upstairs at Arlingtons, 13 Museum St, IP1 1HE.
St Margaret's Primary School won the school prize of a masonry bee hotel for their enthusiasm for the project, using it to give context and direction across their curriculum including story writing, history and art.

Have your home heating costs risen dramatically? Come and learn how one person reduced their house heat losses to a quarter of when built in 1980.

Tony Severwright reduced his home heating by a factor of almost four, resulting in a reduction at today’s gas prices from £360 to £120 per month. Come and listen to him explain how this was achieved at the Museum of the Environment at Arlingtons Cafe 13 Museum St, Ipswich IP1 1HE at 9:15 am on Saturday 7th October. His presentation will last 45 minutes and be the first of a series of talks on Saturday mornings at the Museum of the Environment.

MOTE is hosting a conference at Arlingtons Restaurant Conference Rooms on Regenerative Farming on 24th November, with 10am for 10.30am start. It hopes to encourage farmers to consider regenerative farming methods aimed at boosting wildlife and soil health. They may even attract government farm incentive payments. Tickets include coffee and buffet lunch and are available from Eventbrite:
