A huge thank you to all our commissioners who have taken the time to complete and return their accounts sheets for our county treasurer.

Your prompt responses make a real difference and help ensure our county finances are accurate, up to date, and managed efficiently. We know everyone is busy, so your support and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for all that you do for guiding and for helping keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Congratulations to Louise Farmer!
Louise has spent a wonderful day at Girlguiding Celebrates this weekend.
"I was lucky enough to be nominated to attend the Girlguiding Celebration in London today.

I went with Sian Lovesy a fellow leader from 1st Tiptree Guides and we had a lovely afternoon in the Odeon at Leicester Square.

The celebration also recognised Queens Guides, Laurel Awards, Silver Fish Awards and Peer Educators Gold Badge achievers too.

We were hosted by the Chief Guide Team, met the CEO and chief finance officer

We were entertained by the Southend Gang Show and Bloco Brass and had many video messages from Guiding Ambassadors

It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon and felt really special. We were spoilt with drinks & snacks and some goodies."

As Volunteers’ Week comes to a close, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to every volunteer across Girlguiding Essex North East. 💙

Whether you lead a unit each week, support behind the scenes, organise events, manage accounts, maintain records, serve on committees, help with fundraising, look after our properties, or give your time in countless other ways, you make a real difference to the lives of girls and young women across our area.

Your dedication, enthusiasm, kindness and commitment help create opportunities, adventures, friendships and memories that last a lifetime. Every meeting planned, badge awarded, camp organised, form completed and encouraging conversation contributes to the incredible experiences we provide.

Volunteers are at the heart of Girlguiding, and we are grateful for everything you do throughout the year, not just during Volunteers’ Week.

Thank you for sharing your skills, your time and your passion. Essex North East would not be the same without you.

Congratulations to Girlguiding Colchester North for coming second in the Beat The Street charity/community category. The three girls pictured were the top beat box collectors in the division. Congratulations to everyone who took part in this event.

Girls at 3rd Writtle Guides recently enjoyed an India themed evening. They learned about Wali art and tried block printing using blocks brought back from a recent trip to Sangam world centre. Free football tickets. Families can apply! ⚽️

The FA have once again offered Girlguiding members and staff complimentary tickets to Wembley!

⏰ Kick-off: 3pm
📍 Venue: Wembley Stadium

If you would like to spend a Sunday in the sunshine supporting the women's game then follow the steps below to redeem your complimentary tickets!

1. Go to the FA's website and create an account
2. Once logged in, go to the 'Tickets' tab and select: Adobe Women's FA Cup Final
3. Apply the booking code: AWFACF26GG this will unlock the 'Girlguiding Comp' box offering up to 20 complimentary tickets*
4. You can choose your preferred seating category or select ‘Best Available’. Tickets are first come, first served
*For up to 10 tickets use the 'Standard' booking tab. For 10-20 tickets use the 'Group' booking tab with the same booking code as above.

Girls at 2nd Black Notley Guides have been working on their Pioneering badge. They had lots of fun with different knots, including making paracord bracelets and keychains. The girls made mini catapults, and then, on a much larger scale, some with more success than others!
