The 2026 Court Selection will be held on Saturday 28th February at the Witham Public Hall and Carnival Day will be held on Saturday the 11th July.

Witham Carnival takes place every 2nd Saturday in July and aims to promote the town and help raise money for local charities.

The Court attended the first carnival of the season at the start of the month at our neighbours' Braintree.

The girls were super excited to be back out and on the float.

We had some little showers throughout the day but that didn't stop us from having a great time with our parents and chaperones joining in with the fun.

We also had our Honorary Princess Nancy with us, who absolutely shone on her first time out on the float.

We picked up 3rd place.

You'll also notice we had 2 stowaways who can't wait until July to get started.

At the end of May, the Court attended their last dance of the season at Maldon's Crowning Event.

The girls had a lovely time with all the visiting Courts and said goodbye to the outgoing Court of Mia, Jessica, Amy, and Hetty.

At the end of the evening, the girls picked up the following awards:

2nd Junior Princess
1st Senior Princess
1st Queen
2nd Court

Thank you to Carol, Keith, Leansa, and the committee for a lovely evening and congratulations to Amy and her new Court.

At the end of the evening we treated the girls to a McDonald's. We said one more picture and as you can see I think we nailed it 😆

First Carnival of the season.

The Court are off to their friends at Braintree Carnival today and are very excited to be a part of the parade.

No matter the weather, please come out and support us.

Join us on Saturday 11th July as we celebrate a huge milestone — 50 years of the Witham Carnival Association and 97 years of Carnival Day in Witham! 🎉

This year’s theme is “Step back to the 70s” and we want YOU to be part of it!

We’re looking for:

🌟 Stallholders
🎭 Procession acts
🎪 Interactive park activities

This year, we want the park to be more interactive than ever, with plenty for everyone to enjoy, join in, and experience.

If you’ve got a stall, an act, or an activity that would bring fun, energy, and community spirit to the day, we’d love to hear from you!

Come and help us celebrate nearly a century of Carnival Day and 50 years of the Association, making this year’s event one to for the history books ✌️

Yesterday our new 2026 Court took part in their first event by joining fellow Visiting Court across Essex (Basildon and Pitsea, Braintree, Maldon, Wickford Town, Jaywick Sands & Court of Essex Queen) to take part in the 5 mile sponsored walk.

The Court had a lovely time bonding and enjoyed the lovely weather along with ice creams as a treat at the halfway point. We finished the walk with a picnic at the end and the girls having fun in the gardens.

We would like to thank everyone who has sponsored the girls, there is still time to donate if you wish to just drop us a message.

Thank you to Nina from Basildon and Pitsea and our Court Manager Carly for organising a great day out for all the Courts.

Yesterday, our amazing Court visited the residents at Park View Care Home.

The girls were shown around the facilities, and they were especially impressed with the cinema and salon.

They spent time with the residents, telling them what they had been up to and discussing this year's theme.

They also handed out some gifts they had made for the residents and some cards they had drawn. We are so proud of how you conducted yourselves and the warmth you showed everyone.

Last month the girls attended Jaywick Sands Selection, the girls were so gutted to be saying goodbye to their friends.

We decided to give them a surprise tea party. They always had so much fun together so we treated them to one last mcdonalds.

After the girls surprise tea party we enjoyed the evening events and said our goodbye to their 2025 Court and welcomed in Ellie and her new 2026 Court.

Unfortunately Queen Erinn was unwell and we missed her so much.

The girls took part in the visiting competitions and were awards the following prizes

2nd place Junior Princess Scarlett
1st place Senior Princess Angelica
1st place Queen Rose
1st place Court of Courts

Thank you so much to Bobbie-Jean, Destiny, Danell, Sindy, Sally, Tarnya and the committee for a truly memorable day and we wish Ellie and her new Court a wonderful year.
