Erewash Walking Month of May starts this coming Friday 1st May and run until Sunday 31st May.

There have been more than 35 walks that have been organised, the post below lists all of them and provides useful information about terrain, toilets and more

Fresh air fans are being invited to get out and about exploring the hidden delights of their borough in May – on more than 35 organised rambles that have been lined up for Erewash Walking Month.

The free volunteer-led walks range from a stroll down what is called The Packhorse Trail to discovering what is known locally as The Coffin Walk.

Paul Collins, 59 – who is pictured bringing up the rear during an outing by the Ilkeston-based Monday Strollers – is backing the initiative after he took up walking following a stay in hospital.
