A couple of weeks ago, we welcomed pupils from Cotmanhay Junior School to Ilkeston Town FC as a treat after finishing their SATS exams.

After plenty of football and fun, the children got to see the🏆Derbyshire FA Senior Challenge Cup🏆trophy up close, and had a picture capturing the memory of what was a fantastic morning at the New Manor Ground!

We hope everyone had a brilliant time. It was a pleasure hosting you all ⚽️✨

We are excited to announce that our FREE Girls Football Coaching Sessions will begin on Monday 6th July 2026! 🙌⚽️

These weekly sessions are designed to give girls aged 7–11 the opportunity to get involved in football in a fun, safe and welcoming environment 💫

📍 Ilkeston Town FC, Awsworth Road, Ilkeston
🕟 Every Monday | 4:50PM – 5:50PM

✅ FREE fully-funded sessions
✅ Qualified coaches
✅ Fantastic facilities including the 4G pitch at Ilkeston Town FC
✅ Football boots available to use
✅ All abilities welcome – no experience needed!

Whether your child is new to football or already loves the game, we’d love them to join us!

⚽️🥳 What a fantastic day at our Football & Fun Day! 🥳⚽️

The energy and enthusiasm throughout the day was incredible; all the children were a credit to themselves with their brilliant behaviour and attitudes 👏

Alongside the football and girls-only coached sessions, the children also took part in a gratitude session hosted by the Will Garvey Trust Foundation 🥰

A huge thank you to our coaches, volunteers, catering team, partner agencies and Ilkeston Town FC for hosting😋🙌🍦⚽️🎨🫶🏻✨

We hope everyone had a brilliant day, and we’re excited for what’s ahead!👀🥳

🤩We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Ilkeston Town FC tomorrow for a fantastic day of football activities and family fun! 🙌

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

✅ All children must be signed-in at the gate on arrival. Registration forms will be available if not already done via the link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/N7Y776P

For the full days activities, we open at 10am for registration, staff will be on the gate to get people signed in, direct where to go and to answer any questions.

For the Girls Only sessions (if not signed up for the full day), Coaches will be waiting at the far end of the pitch 15 minutes before the sessions start (as per the times on the poster/survey).

☀️ Please ensure children arrive with appropriate sun protection (sun cream/hats etc) and plenty of water/juice to stay hydrated.

👟 Football boots are required for football activities on the pitch, but don’t worry — boots can be loaned from us on the day if needed.

🍽️ Lunch will be provided for children at midday. Please ensure any allergies are disclosed to us.
