Lots going on at St Paul’s Hall Shepley (and what a fab graphic)!

Please support your local community venues - whether that's by volunteering, recommending them to others, or just leaving a friendly like on their posts - every positive comment and share helps 🙏

Three new groups since we updated the weekly schedule! We are thrilled the hall is used daily by so many community groups 😊 We are ran solely by volunteers, if you’d like to help us out to keep the hall open for future generations get in touch!

Huge thanks to Whisk&Wonders for donating bakes to Paula’s community cafe, these are going down a treat! With a The Chatty Cafe Scheme table and so many friendly regulars you will always find someone to chat to! ❤️

Welcome to our new regular hirers The Art Teacher Holmfirth Royal Voluntary Service & Zumba with Tricia 🎨 🎲 💃

And thank you to our long standing REBEL School of Performing Arts Tang Soo Do Denby Dale LaurieNettletonPilates Shepley Beavers & Cubs, Shepley Singers and Keep Dancing! ⭐️

Starting tomorrow 🥊

🥊💚 IT’S OFFICIAL — AGUS CONFIDENCE CLUB LAUNCHES TOMORROW!

WE HAVE 3 PLACE LEFT!

After months of planning, preparation and plenty of hard work, I’m excited to finally get The Impact Project underway!

AGUS is about much more than getting children active. It’s about creating a place where young people can be themselves, build confidence, develop resilience, make new friends and feel like they belong.

Through a combination of Boxercise, Fitness and Mindset, we’ll be helping young people grow physically, mentally and socially — all while having plenty of fun!

And don’t worry, there’s no fighting or sparring. Our Boxercise sessions are completely non-contact. 🥊

📅 Saturday 31st October
⏰ 9:30–10:30am
📍 Skelmanthorpe Community Centre
👥 Ages 8–12
💚 6-week block — £45 (£7.50 per session)

There’s still time to get involved!

📩 Message the page or email [email protected] to book your place.

I’m really looking forward to welcoming everyone and getting started!

CONFIDENCE ISN’T GIVEN. IT’S BUILT.

💚 MOVE. GROW. BELONG.

Thank you to everyone who came to tonight's screening of the People's Emergency Briefing. Particular thanks to Alan from Huddersfield Greenpeace and the team of volunteers who facilitated the discussions.

The film pulls no punches in getting across the need for urgent action to address climate change, but it also offers solutions and a sense of hope.

If you'd like to see the film, or find out about the National Emergency Briefing, there's more information on the website.

If any local venues are considering hosting a screening and would like to know what that involves, we'd be really happy to chat and support where we can. Drop an email to [email protected].
