Morning all, just a little update about what's been happening up at the shed in 2026. It was a slow start, but we finally got our new log burner fitted in February to keep us warm and allowed for drying out of the soaking / frozen together timber we use. We'd been without heat since November 😔. Since then we've been able to progress our projects without freezing to death. We've had bench refurbs, nest boxes, bird tables, trugs, planters and a beautiful clock by Pete and some lovely crafts by Colin. So glad the spring is here 😊🌞

After 2 great Christmas markets on them same day last weekend we've realised Santa's little helpers made too much stock, so if you didn't manage to get to the market and are still looking for something, why not call up and see what we have left.

Another busy week at the shed with a mad rush to make bat boxes on Wednesday due to a power outage on Monday ready for the bat talk at Wortley church that happened on Thursday night. 2 bench ends fettled ready for paint and a 3 trugs knocked together ready for stain. Not to mention the wood collections we've carried out 👍

Wow, what can we say to an absolutely amazing donation of £1000 raised by the lovely people who attended the Harvest Festival at The Huntsman in Thurlstone last Saturday. We are blown away by their generosity and hope you all had a great time. Thank you all so very much 👏👏👏😊

So its coming up to Harvest Festival time and we have been busy this week making some items ( some still under construction) to donate to 2 local events, 1 at The Huntsman in Thurlstone and 1 at The Legion in Pen*stone. Both events are on Saturday 4th October, so please come pop in and support them.

Morning all!
We will be at St Andrews this morning supporting the new repair cafe from 11 till 1.
Anything from clothing to electrical appliances,pcs and other items can be repaired from a host of talented local volunteers.
Please come down and support our community.

A few of us had a little time out of the shed today. We made our way to a woodland with the trailer, where we have permission from the owner to retrieve fallen trees to use. While we were there we were lucky enough to drop on the tree surgeon felling a very dead Sycamore tree. He was even kind enough to cut us some slices which a think will be turned in to clock faces once dry. 😊👍

After a busy time making goods in the run up to a very successful pen*stone show we were looking forward to slowing the pace a little, but our gaffer had other ideas and has had us hard at it again. One bench fully refurbished and delivered to a very happy customer 😀 👍

Wow, what a show, we've absolutely loved it. Many thanks to everyone that came to see and support us. We are all absolutely shattered now and ready for putting our feet up. Thank you once again your support is very much appreciated 🙏👍
