Their team of dedicated staff provide, care, support and guidance in their eight bed In-Patient Unit, their Day Hospice and in people’s own homes. Caring for families is a key focus of the Hospice, delivering a Children and Young Persons Service, offer

Meet Elizabeth, one of the fantastic dancers taking part in this year's St Vincent's Hospice Strictly Come Dancing!

"I’m taking part in St Vincent’s Hospice Strictly Come Dancing because I know first-hand just how important the work they do is, having seen the care given to a family member through their journey with the hospice. The care, compassion and support they provide to families is truly incredible.

After losing over 11 stone, I wanted to challenge myself and take part in something I once never thought I’d be able to do. This experience is not only personal to me, but also an opportunity to give back to a charity that means so much to so many people. The work St Vincent’s Hospice does is phenomenal, and I’m proud to be supporting such an important cause."

Elizabeth's journey is one of determination, courage and giving back. Taking on the challenge of Strictly Come Dancing is a huge achievement, and we're delighted to have her supporting St Vincent's Hospice while raising vital funds for local hospice care.

A Beautiful New Space for Our Patients and Families 💙

At St Vincent’s Hospice, we are always looking for ways to enhance our environment and create welcoming, comfortable spaces for those in our care.

We are delighted to unveil the transformation of our Patients’ Terrace - a peaceful outdoor area where patients and their loved ones can spend time together, enjoy some fresh air, and make precious memories.🌼

The terrace has been completely refreshed with:

🌿 A brand-new resin-bound surface
🌿 New outdoor tables and chairs
🌿 Beautiful planters and greenery

This wonderful project would not have been possible without the generosity and support of our community.

A heartfelt thank you to St Vincent de Paul for funding the new flooring and outdoor furniture, and to Fern Resin Contracts for carrying out the groundwork to such a high standard. We are also incredibly grateful for their generous donation of the plants and planters, which have helped bring the space to life.

These acts of kindness help us create comforting, dignified surroundings for patients and families during some of life's most challenging times. Thank you to everyone involved in making this special transformation possible. 💙

What a fantastic day we’ve had at our Volunteers Celebration Day! With our Day by the Sea theme, we came together to celebrate the true Stars of Our Shore - our incredible volunteers, whose dedication, kindness and support make such a difference every single day.💙

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a wonderful success. It was so special to spend time together, share lots of smiles, laughter and appreciation, and recognise the amazing contribution our volunteers make to St Vincent’s Hospice.🌼

🎶 A very special thank you to Victoria for providing the soundtrack to our day with her wonderful singing.

🍦 And a big thank you to Parducci Ice Cream Van for keeping everyone smiling with some delicious treats.

💙 We’d also like to give a special shout-out to our Wellbeing Hub attendees who came along and joined in the celebrations.
